# 【MAX】How to set, modify, or delete a PIN code?  14-1

| ✅ **Check Your Subscription Info First**
Make sure the account credentials and assigned profile listed in your subscription are correct. Use the correct profile location.

## 💻 **Desktop (Web Version)** — Set, Modify, or Delete a PIN

### ✅ Set a PIN

1. Open your browser and go to [https://www.max.com](https://www.max.com)
    
2. On the profile page, select the correct profile and click **“Edit Profiles”**

3. Select the profile you want to lock and click the ✏️ icon

4. Enable **“Require PIN to switch profiles”**

5. Enter the Max account password from your Goingbus subscription to verify identity

6. Enter your desired 4-digit PIN and click **“Save”**
    → Your PIN has now been set.

### ✏️ Modify (Reset) Your PIN

1. Again, go to **“Edit Profiles”**

2. Select the locked profile → Click ✏️ icon
    
3. Under the PIN section, click **“Reset Profile PIN”**

4. Enter your HBO Max account password to verify

5. In the PIN field, enter a new 4-digit PIN → Click **“Save”**

6. ✅ Your new PIN has now been saved!

### ❌ Delete a PIN

1. Again, go to **“Edit Profiles”**

2. Select the locked profile → Click ✏️ icon
    
3. Under the PIN section, click **“Lock Profile”**

4. Enter your Max account password → Click **“Next”**

5. Wait a moment — the profile will show as unlocked!

✅ The profile no longer requires a PIN.

## 📱 Mobile — Set, Modify, or Delete PIN

### ✅ Set a PIN (Lock an Adult Profile)

1. Open the **HBO Max App**
    
2. Log in to your account
    
3. Tap the **Profile icon** in the bottom-right corner
    
4. Select **“Edit Profiles”**
    
5. Choose the **adult profile** to lock (⚠️ Child profiles do not support PIN setup)
    
6. Tap the ✏️ icon in the top-right corner
    
7. Scroll down to find and enable **“Lock Profile”**
    
8. The system will prompt you to:

* Enter your HBO Max account password

* Set a **4-digit PIN**
        
9. Tap **“Save”** to complete the setup

📌 After this, the system will ask for the PIN whenever you switch to this profile.

### ✏️ Modify (Reset) Your PIN

To **change your PIN** (not delete it):

1. Go to “Edit Profiles” → Select the locked profile → Tap ✏️
    
2. Tap **“Reset Profile PIN”**
    
3. Enter your account password to verify
    
4. Enter a new 4-digit PIN
    
5. Tap **“Save”**

✅ Your old PIN will be replaced with the new one.

### ❌ Delete a PIN

To remove the PIN lock:

1. Open the app → Go to **“Edit Profiles”**
    
2. Tap the locked profile → Tap ✏️
    
3. Tap **“Reset Profile PIN”**
    
4. Enter your account password
    
5. Leave the new PIN field **blank**
    
6. Tap **“Save”** to remove the PIN

📌 Leaving the field blank will delete the previous PIN.
